Something about the addition of the banjo lends itself well to this russian hip-hop act. A bit of charm even.
Saw this video on IMF a few months back. Another one of those guilty pleasures.

Although it's been estimated that most new year's resolutions will fail, here are a few that will serve to remind me of what I want to change, regardless of how things pan out by 2009. Here's to 2008.
A few semi-realistic resolutions:
1.) To write more. Blog more. To actually use my livejournal haha. To kill all my hang-ups and voice my opinions, regardless of whether they're right or wrong. Reading more is not a bad idea either. To write more music and delve back into the graphic design work that gave me a reason for living so many years ago. Allowing myself to be inspired, and making the time to harness that inspiration. This is something I sorely need.
2.) Be more attentive of my friends and family. To be a better son, brother, and friend. Help my folks more around the house. To be there more should they need me. Make the effort to keep in contact with old friends. Good friends are few and far between. And like any relationship, they need to be maintained.
3.) To move. To take my time in deciding where. Convenience is one thing, but having a place that puts your mind at ease is most important. I've felt like a squatter for the past two years living on my own. This has to change this year.
4.) Take my future a bit more seriously. Manage my time better. At 24, there are fewer excuses for lost time with each and every passing year. Progress or die. Simple as that.
5.) Do a better job of saving money. I've done well at this the past few years but you can rely only so much on the economy. Conserve power. Recycle. Deciding what's essential to living and surviving, and losing everything that isn't; to live as the minimalist I know I am.
6.) Be more assertive and aggressive in all endeavors. Stop being so nice to everyone, Mike.

What is happiness(other than a warm gun)?
Losing my hearing in the company of like-minded individuals of course.
I barely update this thing anymore. Go here for something that is updated every 3 months, rather than never. haha.

I have this fantasy of having an in-depth conversation with Mira Arroyo from Ladytron about her genetics research. Aside from talking about, well, her music.
How many musicians hold PhDs from Oxford. hot.
